About
Daniela completed her BSc and MSc in Medical Physics at Heinrich-Heine University Duesseldorf, with Erasmus semesters at the Université de Nantes, France and the Universidad de Granada, Spain. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Medical Imaging at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria, where her thesis, "Deciphering breast cancer heterogeneity during treatment with PET/MRI and correlative imaging," combines multiparametric imaging with correlative ex vivo analysis. Through a Marshall Plan Scholarship, she is joining the lab of Dr. Grace McIlvain at Columbia University to work on hippocampal MR elastography in glioma. Her research interests focus on quantitative and metabolic MRI, particularly CEST and PET/MRI methods for characterizing tumor heterogeneity, with the goal of translating imaging biomarkers into clinical practice.
